Breakthroughs in industrial automation are being driven by a novel simulation platform, Sensor Workbench (SWB), designed to drastically reduce the time and cost associated with optimizing critical components like warehouse sensors. This original development utilizes NVIDIA ’s Isaac Sim, parallel computing, and a custom CAD-to-OpenUSD pipeline, enabling hundreds of sensor configurations and lighting designs to be tested virtually. The platform not only accelerates design exploration and enhances collaboration but also establishes a foundation for future AI-driven optimization and the generation of synthetic data, pushing the boundaries of automated systems.
